What’s a Hoosier? … Many things, but definitively - all things Indiana.

Start big in Indianapolis, the state's largest city and Indiana’s Capitol. With spring, the Indianapolis 500 is around the corner. Not just famous for the Indy 500, the Hoosier State includes the town of Santa Claus, and Martinsville - home to the first successful goldfish farm in the US. Now do we have your attention?

South Bend and Notre Dame University in the North with Lake Michigan’s south shore nearby are ideal as spring brings warmer weather. Celebrate Indiana heritage with a stop at Headwaters Park in Fort Wayne for Germanfest or Greek Fest – don’t miss the Three Rivers Festival for the biggest festival in northeast Indy. Evansville at the south end of Indiana, the River City, is set on the Ohio River - a commercial, education and cultural hub for the region. Here you’ll find the Hoosier Nationals BMX series, or the National Natural Landmark – Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve. Celebrate spring on an Indiana getaway.

Set in northwestern Indiana on the shores of Lake Michigan, Chesterton is a scenic city found along the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. Although, known as the home of the popular Wizard of Oz Festival in the fall. But Chesterton is not short on spring activities thanks to the Indiana Dunes State Park. Just north of Chesterton, and northeast of Portage along I-94, this state park encompasses more than 2,000 acres of pristine shore land, open daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
