Carnegie Center for Art & History
Located in New Albany, the Carnegie Center for Art & History first opened in southern Indiana in 1904 as a library with over 11,000 books. It continued as a library until 1971 when it became the current history museum and art center.
Enjoy strolling through the two permanent exhibits, including the award-winning "Ordinary People, Extraordinary Courage: Men & Women" exhibit. At the free monthly Family Fun Workshops, families can work on fun art projects together. Schedule time during the lunch hour to enjoy a free monthly program during the Lunch & Learn lunch series.
