Hit the trail.
What better way to relax during your northeast Indiana visit than by testing your golf game along the I-69 Golf Trail? Six premiere golf courses occupy a 90-mile stretch of Interstate 69 from Angola to Gas City, and the Fort Wayne highlight is Coyote Creek Golf Club.
There, players will find an 18-hole, par-72 course, as well as a driving range, practice facility, pro shop, and the the Lodge at Coyote Creek – a full-service restaurant.
Celebrate a local legend.
Fort Wayne celebrates the life and legacy of John Chapman, better known as Johnny Appleseed, with the Johnny Appleseed Festival, each year in late September. It's an opportunity to learn about the subject of now-ageless folk tales through a variety of family-friendly activities, including craft making, trade demonstrations, and a variety of antique vendors.
